It is an Ghostlike Creature who appears from the Soul of an dead forefather, or
it is
the Soul of an living human, who leaves in the night the body and
disturb other Humans in their sleep or suck the Blood out of them.
The Mahr sit often of the Chest of his victim, and causes trouble with his
Breath and creates Nightmares.
Mahre appears often as Animal for Example as an Moth, or as an objekt
like an Hair or an straw. The last one came into the House through the keyhole.
From the old german Word Nachtmara came the english word "Nightmare"
